About Kathryn Crosweller...(from her website http://www.KathrynCrosweller.com
Kathryn has expressed a love for singing from a young age, and she joined her first school choir at the age of 7. However, it was not until she reached 17 that she felt a calling to dedicate her life to singing to God.
“A friend recommended that I visited Taizé in France for a youth week. The experience was truly life changing – I felt the reality of Christianity unlike ever before. There was a sense of unity among the Christians who I met, a peace and serenity that I had never felt before, and I discovered a lot about myself and my faith.”

Kathryn Crosweller seeks to worship God through song, and since returning from Taizé in 2004 she has developed an acute desire to bring the joy that she feels when singing to other people. She says, “Faith is a great blessing, but can also be a very difficult thing. I was a teenager when I developed my faith in God, and I often felt out of place and lost. Singing helped me to reconnect with my faith and express my feelings when I could not find the words to do so.” Kathryn seeks to bring this expression of faith to other people, that it might enhance their faith as it has enhanced hers.
God is always present with us, and yet we often find it hard to feel Him. Kathryn has chosen her favorite songs of praise for her debut album, Still Is The Word. Kathryn says that she chose songs which include more than one denomination of Christianity in honor of the unity of faith expressed in Taizé. “I struggle with the thought that God can be confined to a single denomination. There is beauty in every Christian tradition.” The songs also express the love, peace, joy and hope that are the cornerstones of the Christian tradition.

'Still is the Word' is a CD of meditative, devotional music suitable for all denominations of Christianity. The collection of songs on the CD are chosen in the spirit of the Beatitudes: love, simplicity and humility. This is a CD for all peoples, of all ages, and above all it is a CD to celebrate the Lord.
