Video Marketing Strategies: God's Media TV

Using video marketing strategies as a way to promote and spread your message, ministry or business online can be extremely effective.

Let's face it: Video compels people.

Look at the popular wave of YouTube! This video sharing website allows users a chance to upload, view and share video clips. YouTube was created in mid-February of 2005 by three former PayPal employees.

The recent statistics of the power of YouTube is amazing.

According to Compete.com, YouTube is currently ranked 4th in the world in terms of traffic. It’s also the second largest search site on the web -- ahead of both Yahoo and Bing.

Check these stats out courtesy of the Digital Marketer:

“Video is where the web is headed. The numbers say it all.There are currently 60 hours of video uploaded to YouTube every minute of every day -- one hour of video content every second."

"In fact, Cisco is scrambling to re-engineer its routers to deal with what they call the 'video onslaught;' e.g. they’re predicting that by 2015 at least 90% of all internet traffic will be video.

"More than half of all web traffic after 5PM is ALREADY video traffic -- YouTube, Netflix, and other companies serving prime video."

Add to these facts that Google owns YouTube and you have some serious power in the world of using video marketing strategies.

"As more people capture special moments on video," YouTube's Web site declares, "YouTube is empowering them to become the broadcasters of tomorrow."

Other video sites are staking a claim in this emerging force of video, such as Vimeo.com, Dailymotion,Veoh.com and Viddler.com.

Christians have also taken advantage of the video upload craze with their site called Tangle,now back to its original name,GodTube.com, which specializes in Christian-themed videos.

With a background in broadcast journalism, I plunged deep in the study of using video for ministry back in 2005. The idea I could shoot and produce broadcast quality video with a consumer HD video camera and my own computer was fascinating to me.

Some of my best teachers came along from the internet as I continued to study how to use video online to spread my message and the message of my clients I was serving.
